Secured $5M DFID Funding for Ginger Market Development

I successfully secured a $5M grant from DFID for the Ginger Market Development project, now under NMDP. This initiative significantly boosted Nepal’s agricultural export potential, creating sustainable market opportunities for smallholder farmers.

Introduced System of Wheat Intensification (SWI)

I pioneered the System of Wheat Intensification, an innovative farming technique that doubled yields and enhanced household food security in Nepal. The approach was published and recognized in national agricultural symposia.

Established National Ginger and Cardamom Associations

I founded the National Ginger Producers and Traders Association (NGPTA) and the Large Cardamom Entrepreneurs Association of Nepal (LCEAN), empowering smallholder farmers by providing them with a unified platform to access markets and resources.

Developed the Farming As A Business (FAAB) Tool

I created the Farming As A Business (FAAB) tool, equipping farmers with essential business and marketing skills. This initiative has enabled smallholders to adopt sustainable practices and improve their livelihoods through better market engagement.

Created a Scalable Business Model for Commodity Promotion

I developed a scalable business model for high-impact agriculture commodity promotion along economic corridors. Recognized by donors, this model has facilitated sustainable growth and market access for agricultural products like tea and ginger.
